Starting to see a trend

5 am. The perfect time to write a post.

This week has been a roller coaster of events, meetings, and homework, and tomorrow (well, today really) doesn't look any better. Friday night couldn't get here soon enough.

I've noticed an interesting trend that occurs as I work into the wee hours of the morning. The later I stay up, the more I like rap music. At 4:30am, I have serious gangsta/rock-out sessions in my desk chair a la Timbaland. Needless to say, it's a tad bit difficult to write anything at those times.

Which leads us to trend #2:
My productivity increases at a linear rate until 3:45 am, when I either start nodding off or suddenly get the idea that Daft Punk and Jay-Z are musical geniuses. If the first path is taken, productivity falls to .1% in about 2 seconds (somehow my hand keeps writing....gibberish. Reading this the next day is slightly humorous). If path two is taken, productivity can be modeled as 60sin(5t), where t = time in hours. As expected, productivity never reaches above 60% again, and any negative value indicates spontaneous, violent head-bobbing and checking my email.

It's funny how my use of mathematics to model various physical phenomena also increases with time...although that function has been in effect since getting to college.

Damn it feels good to be a nerd.
